Become a driver education instructor.

Are you interested in working part-time as a driving instructor? At Shield Driving School, our instructors ensure their students have the basic skills, knowledge, and habits needed for safety on the road. Our driving instructors include current or retired police officers, traffic safety experts, DOT examiners, and school teachers.

Responsibilities

As a driving school instructor, you are responsible for teaching safe driving skills to students following the state-approved curriculum. You will conduct behind-the-wheel instruction with students to ensure student safety and compliance with local traffic laws. You may also be required to administer and score tests.

Qualifications & Experience

• Previous experience in education, law enforcement, or DOT preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required. Advanced degrees preferred.
• Must be certified to teach driving skills in Pennsylvania. 
• Must possess a valid Pennsylvania driver's license and meet our insurability requirements.
